i drive a 2002 jeep grand cherokee 4x4. it''s making a humming noise while driving. i thought it was the front brakes and replaced them but the humming is still there. what could it be?

Does the humming ever change pitch? Like during turns does it get louder?
Does it get louder as you drive faster?
Can this humming also be described as almost a scratchy sound?
