Was the truck running when you got it? how many miles are on it? Have you ran a compression check? Thanks, Joe

ACCEPTED Check Mark

You may have a timing chain issue. You need to rule it out before replacing a lot of parts that are not neccessary. Does there seem to be excessive play in the timing chain (move the balancer back and forth, you will feel when the chain tightens), you should have approx. 3-8 degrees. We need to know the engine is mechanicaly sound before moving on. If you can, run a compression check. Thanks, Joe
