If the Traction Control light comes on, indicating that the TC has turned off (with no intervention) and the car now makes a lot of noise and doesn'' want to shift. What is the problem? This is on a 2001 Grand Am, 4 cyl wfith auto trans.

What kind of noise is it making? Can you tell where it is coming from? Is the tc light on continuosly now? Have you tried shutting off the car and restarting it, does the light come on immediately? When you say it won't shift do you mean to any gear. Do you have reverse? And does it feel like it is running in 2nd or 3rd, (very sluggish from a stop)? Please help me with this info. Thanks, Joe
