I am looking for the temperature sensor for the the temp gauge not for the computer. Is this the same sensor. I purchased a sensor and found a pictorial description of replacing a temp. sensor but it is for the computer and not the same sensor that I have. Autozone called the temp switch, here is a link with a picture: http://www.autozone.com/selectedZip,24574/initialAction,partProductDetail/initialpartType,00135/initialR,APP260281/initialvehicleId,2386801/shopping/selectZip.htm

ACCEPTED Check Mark

Hi Customer (name blocked for privacy), both the temp sensor for the computer and the one for the gauge are located right beside each other. If you take the air intake hose off the throttle body and look down behind the intake on the passenger side. You will see a aluminum coolant tube that is almost square and it goes from one head to the other. Both of them are in that coolant tube. It is a little tight to replace but if you have time you can do it.
