i have a 2000 lincoln ls and it is overheating. when i fill it up with coolant and drive it around town the water start spewing back out of the water resevoir when i stop the car .but as long as i,m idle water doesn,t come out .i put a new thermostat in it .the fan is working properly i can see it turning.so i need A LITTLE trying to see whats wrong with it

Sounds like you may have a head gasket failed, causing excess pressure in the cooling system. There is a block chemical test that can be done to determine if combustion gas is leaking into the cooling system. Have it done soo, because you may also be leaking coolant into the engine and doing damage. Most good shops will have the test kit and all dealers will.
