My daughters car wouldn''t start because of a dead battery. when we jump started it the horn started blowing like the alarm was going off. Tried to reset alrm with keyfob but there was no difference. The car is a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix. Drove home with the horn intermittintly sounding like the alrm and had to unhook battery when we got home. Any ideas?

Hello,

When this happens you usually must lock all doors except drivers door manually from inside. Then outside vehicle put key in drivers door and lock it. Remove key from door and reinsert key in door and unlock the driver door with the key and then start vehicle. This should take care of your problem. The battery must be hooked up before you do any of this. DO NOT USE THE KEYFOB DURING THESE STEPS
