my 95 pontiac grand am will not start or run unless the gas petal is pressed-the minute you take your foot off the gas petal it dies

Reply to Kyle Northrop's Post: i have waited as long as 2 minutes-more or less--it cannot be taken on the road because the gas must always be depressed (talk about a wild ride!) if you have to put your foot on the brake, you must still keep the gas petal pressed or the engine dies
