i am trying to put an alternator belt on a 2005 ...

i am trying to put an alternator belt on a 2005 pontiac grand prix and i am having lots of trouble without a diagram to look at. (v6)(3.8 liter) would you have a diagram to go by?

Already Tried:
we have put the belt on many different ways and we have not been able to fit it right . to tight or too loose
