son put to much oil in his motor and it sounds like a bunch of marbles rolling around in the top of the pontiac .

If it was motor oil ,it really should not cause anything like that.Just drain to proper level.What you describe sounds like loose or worn top end mechanical components or depending on the year of vehicle,timing chain or belt slap.What is the Year/Make?Model?Mileage?Engine size?and be more descriptive of the issue.Was oil added to quell the noise?Was any other work performed?etc.
