Question

I have a 1994 Pontiac Grand Am GT. Heat is not

Sent to Car Experts October 25, 2005 9:52 a.m.

I have a 1994 Pontiac Grand Am GT. Heat is not working,(last time I used A/C it worked fine) tempertare gauge will float from cool to overheat and back down in a matter of seconds. Radiator was replaced month ago, it sprung a leak. Today it went straight to the red after driving 1/2 mile. Should I replace thermostat or spend hundreds on a heater core? Or both?
