I replaced the fuel pump on a 96 pontiac grand prix 3.4l now the pump is working i have fuel in fuel rail but it still won't start. whats wrong?

You need to first test a few functions during the failure.

1) Test for spark at the plug end of the wire using a spark tester.
2) Test for injecter pulse using a small bulb called a noid light.
3) Use a fuel pressure gauge to test for correct fuel pressure.

Once you have determined which of these functions has dropped out,
you will know which system is having the problem.

I realize you said you have fuel to the rail but the pressure reading is important.
