My 98 Plymouth Voyager Expresso A/C is not blowing cold air. The longer it is on, the warmer it gets. I called a repair shop & they advised it would be a minimum cost of $150.00 just to locate the problem. Can this be? & is there anything I can check to find the problem. A friend mentioned an air filter. Can you give me a hint? Is it possible that it just needs an a/c tuneup? Thank you very much.

Although their price seems high, it's not real simple to find.

You mmay have a restriction in the system that has to be found, a problem with heat blend doors or actuators or possibly a leak that will have to be located. It will take a little work to do that so there will be some diagnostic charges.
