if you hold the gas pedal to the floor when cranking will it start at all or do you hear poping noises?also you did not mention why the belt broke, did the tensioner fail? can you spin all the pullys it rides on?

ok, any idea why the belt broke? If you think it is out of time, which it could be,then we need to verify that it is.offten when they jump time you can hold the gas to the floor and crank it and they will pop and make some strange noises.you will have to line up the mark on the crank pully to the timming mark tab at 0.next remove the dis cap and check that the dis rotor is pointing at #1 cyl(just a note that the inside of the 3.0 cap does not line up with the outside, tower #1 with the wire pluged into it for cyl #1 moves to a different location on the inside of the cap)also note that if it is not pointing at #1 rotate it one more time and line it up and recheck.(have to make sure it is on compression stroke)try this and we can go from there.just a side note, check a spark plug or 2 to make sure it did not flood
