hi there i have a plymouth horizon door whatchback

Hi there! I have a '90 Plymouth Horizon (4-door w/hatchback); the "check engine" light came on yesterday, the engine is making rumbling-type noises, and the front of the car vibrates when I drive it, just doesn't literally feel right to me. I know it could be anything causing this, but what do you think the problem might be? I would appreciate your help very much, desperate here - thank you!
