I have a 1990 plymouth acclaim v6 auto od. It will not shift itself into od. all other gears shift fine. fluid is not low i have already replaced the tps & map sensors.

There is a speed sensor located on the transimission bell housing, most of the dodge/plymouth designated location for the speed sensor is right beside the
speedometer cable under the hood, if not under the hood, it should be visible on the front of bell housing facing towards you when looking under the hood.

Reply to DCM's Post: does the speed sensor control the shift into od. I would rather not spend a bunch of money and not get the problem fixed

Yes the speed sensor tells the transmission when to shift to OD,
