i have a 1999 plymouth voy. 3.0 eng. my oil light comes on even though my oil level is fine. i was thinking it may be my oil sender switch and if so where is it located

Ok well this would be an indicator of low oil pressure and not a low level. You are still on the right track though, it could be caused by a faulty oil pressure sending unit. The correct way to diagnose this problem would be to install a mechanical gauge and see where the preesure is at actually. This either proves that there is an issue with the sending unit or proves that the engine does have insufficient oil pressure. Your oil pressure sending unit is located inbetween the starter and the oil filter. Here is an illustration. Feel free to contact me with any questions or if you would prefer a second opinion.
