Question

I have a 1990 dodge pickup v6 3.9 w/tbi w/ a gas filter ...

I have a 1990 dodge pickup v6 3.9 w/tbi w/ a gas filter on theframe . gets no gas to the throttle body.thinking bad fuel pump or filter I replaced filter . cranked for a couple of seconds an it started Turned it off and restarted . Itdid .thinking problim solved I turned it off . Later I droved to a friends house about 3/8 mile . I went in for 20 minutes an tryed to leave, It would not start. next day took off filter an Turned key on and gas was pumped from tank. Put filter back on and it restarted for 8 times or so. Let it sit overnight and started it again this time Ilet it run as the temp gage moved to warm about 8 min. it shut off. It will try to fire but will not _Got any idears?

Sounds like the fuel pump to me, get yourself a gauge and test the pressure, if it's off only by a little, it will do this. These fuel injection systems require a very specific pressure to operate.
