Question

No high volt spark from coil

Sent to Car Experts September 25, 2006 8:32 p.m.

88 Mazda 323 1.6L non turbo. Replaced head. No high volt spark from coil. replaced coil, nothing. Should spark be continuous when cranking eng, or is affected by timing of eng (timing belt) or distributor? What else should I look at? Igniter & pickup coil? Where are they located?
Thanks,
Ron
