Question

Toyota won't start when hot

Sent to Car Experts August 21, 2005 11:44 p.m.

I have a 1986 Toyota 4x4 pickup with a turbo 22REC engine and it does not start when the temperature raises above 88F. When the temperature cools the trucks and runs fine. Also when I start and run the engine to operating temperature I have to wait 10-15 minutes to start the engine again. Sometimes when it's real hot outside, above 88F, it will not start at all until the temperature cools down at night. The truck runs great after starting. HELP!!
