Oldsmobile cutless Sierra SL 1994 Driver side power window, will not go down past half way, then will only rise <1/2 inch at a time with waiting 1-2 minutes. Found solenoid on side of motor extremely hot to touch. Any suggestions?

Just pulled off the door panel and cleaned the switch contacts

Hello Skip

The motor is drawing too many amps because of internal resistance, thats why its getting so hot.

It will need to be replaced. Its a bit involved to replace but here are the instructions.
