I have a 1997 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. The a/c compressor is locked up. Is it possible for me to change that out myself with some assistants. And is there any place that can give me a description of what I need to do.

It is possible to do it yourself, but it will take some specialty tools and some time. I can actually help you through it but you will need to be able to recover the refrigerant on the system. Do you think you will have access to some a/c tools?

It is pretty simple. It will just take some time. Are you able to get the adapters to recover all of the refrigerant out of the system?

Once you recover the freon I can help you through the process of replacing the compressor. Along the way you will also want to flush out the remaining parts of the system. Also when changing the compressor you will also want to change the accumulator and the orifice tube.
