I have a 1975 Oldsmobile Cutlass that i tried starting ...

I have a 1975 Oldsmobile Cutlass that i tried starting today after about 3 weeks. It turns over but just wont start.

Optional Information:
Pre-1981 Oldsmobile Cutlass 455 V8

Already Tried:
I bought some spray and sprayed inside the carburator, but the ssame thing happened

Nice machine . if you sprayed starting fluid in the carb and no fire you need to check for spark first at coil then at plugs if no spark at coil check for power if spark at coil and none at plugs you need a distributor cap and rotor check these if you need more info let me know. if this does the trick an accept would be appreciated Thank you Bill

I am not mechanically inclined, how do I check for spark at the coil and then at the plugs?
