I have a 2000 oldsmobile alero 3.4 v6. The car dies while driving at normal speeds it is like it runs out of gas. The tank is almost full and i can add a couple of gallons of gas and it will start right up and run . is my fuel pump bad? or is it something i am missing

Did you fill it up after you added a couple gallons?The reason I ask is the gauge could be way off.
