Background: I have a 1987 Oldsmobile cutlass Ciera 3.8L ...

Background: I have a 1987 Oldsmobile cutlass Ciera 3.8L multiport fuel injection system. My service engine light will come on and go off. During the light on condition, the motor runs erratic, doesn't want to idle correctly, may die, and smells as if it is flooding. A computer diagnostic stated the map sensor was bad. I couldn't nor could the mechanic locate the map sensor.
Question: Does this car have a map sensor? If so, where is it located?
