i have a 97' mitsubishi eclipse.when i pull off it

i have a 97' mitsubishi eclipse.when i pull off it feels like the motor bogs down.then there is a pop(like backfire).it does it around 30 mph on occasion and gets even worse as the car warms up.also,the check engine light is on constantly
