I have a 2002 mitsubishi galant. recently i installed an aftermarket stereo. i had the stereo in 2 other cars, both times the marker lights and rear taillights would stay on as long as the car was on, and were installed professionally. after this problem occurred in the galant, i linked the negative dimmer wire which had not been connected any previous time, to the illumination/acc wires. now the radio and dashboard lights will not work, even after disconnecting the neg. dimmer wire. i checked the fuses associated with the "audio" and "guage" circuits. why will the dash lights and radio not work?

Already Tried:
checked fuses, replaced audio/gauge fuses. disconnected the neg. dimmer wire to from stereo harness so it was the same as it was when working.
