ACCEPTED Check Mark

YEA,BUT THINGS ARE A LITTLE TIGHTER & BACKWARDS THESE DAYS.25YRS AGO WAS A WHILE.
ITS STILL ALL THE SAME IT JUST DEPENDS IF YOU WANNA GET GREASY OR NOT & IF YOU GOT THE TOOLS.

BUT SIMILAR TO A 56??
THE ENGINE & TRANNY ARE TRANSVERSE.
ITS FRONT WHEEL DRIVE.
THERE IS NO ROOM.

BEST BET IS TO SHOP AROUND & GET SOME PRICES TO REPLACE IT.
$400.00 BUCKS OUT OF YOUR POCKET MIGHT BE WORTH IT INSTEAD OF PULLING OUT YOU HAIR FIGHTING A MANUAL TRANNY STUFFED IN A TOPAZ ON THE GARAGE FLOOR...
I JUST WISH SOMETIMES THEY STILL MADE EM LIKE BACK IN THE DAY..

HOPE IT HELPS

This is as good as free gets. You could buy the ford service manual $$ or a subscription to alldata.com DIY for 24.95

Read the instructions and see if you think you can handle the job (and optain the necessary tools). Don't expect it to go fast.
