i have a mercury cougar 2001 and i want to change the front break pads .i can find out if the break pads have sensors . how can i tell just by looking at them on the car when i have taken the tire off

If you look at the back side of the brakes, you will the the electrical plug going in.

Don't confuse this with an ABS sensor.
