The lower ball joints are replaced with the control arm. You can't buy just a lower ball joint. It comes with the lower control arm and ball joint as one piece. Before jacking the truck up make sure the switch in the rear jack area for the air suspension is turned off. Remove the wheel and tire ass'y. Remove the nuts on the stabilizer along with the washers and bushings. Remove the front shock absorber- to - front suspension lower arm nuts. Remove the torsion bar. Remove lower ball joint castle nut. Using a pitman arm puller separate the lower arm from the steering knuckle/spindle ass'y. Remove lower arm nuts and bolts. CAUTION : On 4WD/AWD vehicles support the front suspension arm bushing joint, axle shaft, and front knuckle before seperating knuckle from lower arm. If you need some diagrams I can send some e-mail to you. I'm having trouble uploading to this site. Just e-mail me at maddenpi@earthlink.net and i'll send the diagrams.
