I have a 99 Mercury Mystique, 2 litre 4 cylinder. On

Sent to Car Experts October 26, 2005 5:39 p.m.

I have a 99 Mercury Mystique, 2 litre 4 cylinder. On Monday, I went to go to the store and my car wouldn't start. A friend of mine tested the battery and decided it was the alternator. I got a new one for him to install, now he can't get the serpintine belt loosend to put the new alt. on. He says he needs a long screwdriver that we can't seem to find anywhere! Is there any other way to loosen the belt? MoldyLocks68@msn.com
