I am working on a 1998 Mercury Contour. I have changed the oil and PCV and , not always, but many times as it is running, there is a large amount of smoke, white oil smoke that is blowing from the tailpipe. What is causing this as I work on cars alot and don't seem to find the problem. Could there be a problem in the oil seporator located behind the catl. converter that is causeing this. There is oil coming out with the smoke. It does clear up after a good days driving. Then in a few days, will do it again. Any ideas?
