I have a 1989 Mercury Tracer 5 speed hatchback. It's been sputtering as if the fuel line or filter might be clogged. It even sputts in 4th & 5th gears. Help!! If it is the filter, please show me a diagram of the motor and where it sits. If possible I would like to fix it myself or at least try to.I'm a single mom that knows quite a bit about cars. (with out a computer to run it) All I need is a diagram and instructions! Thanks

Reply to Gene's Post: the Title says it's a 1989 2D hatchback. maybe...1988? this is my replacement car after the big D. (he's real cheap except for himself) I've got to get this figured out before the snow comes. HELP!!! even if it's to where I might find an owners manual or repair manual. who's the best? chilton, haynes....?
