I have a 92 mercury tracer and it wont turn over. I put a new battery in it. This has happend before caused by a loose wire on the starter but i made sure there was no loose wires. Do you have an idea of what the problem is?

You will need to test for power arriving at the "S" terminal at the starter solenoid while someone is hold the key on "start".
