This is the same vehicle, that I asked a question about previously. It is a 1999 Mercury Mountaineer. Was in a front end collision. Both air bags were deployed. Repair was done both air bags were replaced ,New clock spring assy installed , air bag module was replaced,code 36 shows up even after all these above parts were replaced, even tried another drivers air bag. after all this is done code 36 still remains air bag light stays on need to get the light out. What else should I check to repair this problem Thanks

both air bags replaced , clockspring replaced, air bag control module replaced, tried another driver air bag, scanner cleared all other codes cannot get code 36 out or air bag light

I woudl suspect the sensors in the bumper to be bad. Were they replaced? they should have been.

Reply to westrope65's Post: Sorry, for getting ack so late , was out of town. Both crash sensors were replaced, code 36 shows. I can clear code and it continues to show up .
