yes-have the transmission serviced-tell them to drain the converter as well-refill the trans with new fluid and i add a transmission additive when i do this-this ia a very common problem and this repairers 90% of the cars-the other 10% waited to long and the valves inside the transmission fail-so do it soon-

sorry i didnt read that you already had the trans serviced-after a transmission flushing dirt and gunk get dislodged and can plug up the shift valves-take it back to the shop that did the service-tell them to redo the service again-but have the transmission hot and at normal operating temp.-this may(or may not dislodge the dirt in the valves-if it doesnt then they will need to go inside the transmission to replace the bad shift valve(solenoid)

hope this helps

I had the transmission serviced o 12/14/07. I t was after that that the problem appeared. They did a transmission flush and replaced 13 quarts of fluid. I dont know if this included the converter. Do you suggest that I put in an additive? If so what type?

Thanks
