I have a 2001 Mercury Mountaineer with power door locks and the rear door latch let go. Question: How can I get the door open to work on it?

Already Tried:
I removed the lisence plate lights to see if there was anything to pull but could not get it to open

You will have to remove the inside door panel to get to the door latch rod. Should have panel clips holding panel on.
