i recently had my air changed from r12 to r134 by a mechanic. my air has not worked since . it was working fine before. i thought it was the compressor but it turns out it just needed belts. i replaced the compressor and the dryer. the mechanic says my blower switch is bad. it will blow low and medium but not on high. please advise

It sounds like you may need to find a shop a little more well versed in A/C repairs because this one does not appear to understand the system.

Your blower problem, although it's possible it's a bad blower switch, it's not likely at all. The common failure for that is the blower resister that is found next to the blower motor.

As far as the temperature, he could have done any number of things wrong and I would need the guage pressure reading for both high and low sides to even begin to know why. He may have overharged the system or maybe even didn't remove the R12 oil during retrofit. Either way it doesn't look like you'll make much progress with the current shop.
