I assume the cylinder head was removed due to overheating or a leaking gasket, and that other than those type problems the car ran normal.
The fact that it started and ran for a few minutes makes me think things like the fuel pump and ignition should be ok.
I would first recheck the timing belt, easy for belt to be off a tooth, or jump a tooth for whatever reason, tensioner not set up right, spring fell of tensioner, something got under the belt, who knows, but I would at least double check it.
At least do a primary check, remove the number one spark plug, remove the valve cover to see the top engine cam timing marks, then using the crankshaft pulley and the timing mark you can get it to top dead center number one cylinder, and see if it is correct. If not or one cam is off then you will have to take it back apart to retime the cam and crank, if it is ok, then you can move onto other possible problems.
Assuming all the work we do is correct is nice, but in reality we always need to double check what we have done, just to eliminate that work as a possible problem.
