Key replacement for 2001 Mazda MPV mini-Van: How long ...
Sent to Car Experts April 18 09:31 PM

Key replacement for 2001 Mazda MPV mini-Van: How long should it take to cut a replacement key and program it?? Also, the dealer said that need three keys to program a new one. At delivery of car we received two keys. We lost one a year ago. Now we want one replacement key. We were told that you need three keys to program it ... so we need to purchase two additional keys (@31.00 each), have them cut and then programed using my key and the two new ones....is this right? If so why? and should all of this take 1 hour of labor(I should think not!)
