i have a lincoln mark viii and am changing the rear brake ...

i have a lincoln mark viii and am changing the rear brake pads but cant tell if the piston is compressed all the way and cant tell how to put on the pads since they fell out when the calliper was aremoved can some one tell me how i can find a diagram??
