I have a 1983 Lincoln Town car with a digital gauge system. The fuel gage doesn't work. I read on another page that I can ground a wire at the sending unit to see if the gauge is working. How do I find the wire on the gauge?

Back at the tank there should be 2 wires going to the tank my color legend shows them both to be yellow/white. 1 will go straight to ground and the other will be your sending unit signal wire ground it and your gauge should read full.

here is some additional testing for you.
