i HAVE NOT DRIVIN MY 1996 LINCOLN CONTINENTAL IN OVER 3 YEARS. nOW IT WILL NOT START. I HAVE A NEW BATTERY BUT ALL I GET JUST A WHINING ENGINE SOUND WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?

NO. IT DID ONCE BUT CUT RIGHT BACK OFF.

Sounds like the starter is froze up,have a freind try to start the car while you take a hammer and tape on the starter,if this does not get the starter to work replace the starter,i hope this helps you,please click accept.Thanks
