2000 Lincoln Navigator wont start. Battery is fully charged but when trying to start the engine (I am assuming the alternator) makes loud clicking sound and all the lights go dim, guages, wipers go haywire.

Optional Information:
2000 Lincoln Navigator 5.4L V8

Already Tried:
Recahrged the batter and had Auto Zone insure it would hold charge. All lights still work but all guages/wipers go nuts when trying to start (in addtion to ticking sound).

I think you need to have the battery tested before you continue. The loud clicking noise is the starter trying to engage but it doesn't have enough electrical power to do so.Just because you charge a battery doesn't mean it's fully charged. It could have one or more weak cells inside. If the battery was never changed I would just put one in it.3-4 years is usually tops for the life of an original battery.
