I have a '94 Lincoln Cont. It has 106,000 miles on it. It is in good condition on the inside and outside, and I like it. It is our third car that we keep in our AZ winter home year around.
It is in need of some engine service inorder to feel safe when going out of town. Problems are overheating, and leaking steering fluid. I would invest up to 1500, in order not to have to dispose of it. We only use it 4 month of the year in winter.

The over heating could be as simple as a thermostat.Even if you wer to need a new water pump and a new power steering pump,1500 should be plenty for that.If you have a rep. shop near by,I'm quite sure they can tell you exactly what it will need to bring the car up to par.In all honesty though,it doesn't sound like getting the car repaired will cost 1500 should be quite a bit less.
