I oun a 1998 Lincoln Cont. The message center on the dash indicates that ther is a door ajar, which one I do not know. It is not the drivers door as the message center states that the drivers door is ajar when the drivers door is open. The interior lights keep coming on when the car stops. Can you tell me where the door sensors are??? I have looked and can not see anythig that looks like a sensor.

Thanking you in advance

Get yourself some WD40 or equivelent and spray the door latches generously.Open and close the doors quite a few times to free up the sticking switches in the latch. This is a fairly common Ford/Lincoln/Mercury issue.I would even spray the drivers latch so you can prevent it from happening to it.

I just tried your cure and it did not work.
I sprayed the latches in all 4 doors, opened and closed them 10 times each and the interior lights still stay on. What now
