1994 Lincoln Transmission shift problem

1994 Lincoln T/C Signature , 100,000 Mi. ONE OWNER , ALL
SERVICE CORRECTLY MAINTAINED . TRANSMISSION SOLID BUT SHIFTS INCORRECTLY ( WRONG TIMES ).
Ford Service Department suggested change transmission and convertor fluid ($195.00) tHIS DID NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM . wHAT DO YOU SUGGEST?

Do you know if they replaced the transmission pan filter? This can clog and sooner or later cause your transmission to sieze(supposed to be changed every 100,000 - 150,000 miles).

Also, could you provide more information, such as is this a 4 speed or 3 speed tranny, at what speeds does it shift and does it shift hard(like a clunk)?

1994 Lincoln transmission oil change, Your answer is not correct as referenced by Lincoln Tri-lakes Dealership nor in complience with Chiltons Lincoln repair manual 26500 .
Page 1-37 Figure 147 thru 159 .
Quote "To drain the automatic transmission fluid the fluid pan must be removed".

What I would suggest since replacing a filter and fluid never fixes a problem(more so on high mileage cars) would be to have the transmission removed taken apart and thoroughly inspected.It could be worn parts like the control valve body or other internal components.Or it may have worn seals leaking pressure needed to complete the shifts properly.
