What is the correct way to disconnect a fuel filter, which is in the passengers side engine compartment on a 2002 kia sportage 2WD V4 2.0L after relieving the pressure ofcourse? It looks like I'm requesting a ford expert but I'm sure that you have seen many makes and models.

So you can just squeeze the lock retainers with your bare hands or is there a special tool your supposed to use?

ACCEPTED Check Mark

You should be able to squeeze them wit your hands but sometimes you can use a small screwdriver to pinpoint some pressure in a spot your having trouble with.
