Hi, I just changed my vehicle(a 2003 Kia Optima) amplifier with a new one that I bought off the shelf. The amplifier works fine but the alternator noise is much. When I put off the ignition the noise ceases, the moment I start the engine the noise starts and pitch increases as I accelerate the car. What can I do? Thanks

Optional Information:
2003 OPTIMA 2.0CC

Already Tried:
I have tried installing a line capacitor.Didn't work.

Try cleaning the negative binding post of the battery if this still does not help, then try running a temporary ground wire directly from the battery, if this minimize the noice, then it's either the ground is not clean enough, or the ground connection is loose. If none of this help, there is a noise filter you can buy on electronics store, by the way, try checking the ground of the stereo unit as well.

Can you suggest a particular type of noise I can use as I have tried out what you suggested but to no avail?
