hello, my 1987 jaguar (4.2) takes to much cranking to get started. does best on cold eng. after warm up it takes 8 to 10 seconds of cranking to start. sometimes it stops cranking like the battery suddenly went bad. then you hit the key a second time and it starts instantly. has lots of power and runs great just acts like it looses its gas prime. it also acts like a timeing problem because it acts like it wants to kick back at times. a beatiful car with only 87,000 miles   -- my friends 1989 v/12 acts the same way.
