Battery keeps draining

Sent to Car Experts August 06 07:01 PM

I have a 1996 Isuzu Rodeo, While driving one day my battery light came on and the air conditioner went off. We have changed the altenator and checked the battery the battery is an older one but is still good.   While driving the rodeo the battery lost charge and the light on the dash went off and the air conditioner worked. We have looked at some of the wireing but are running out of options. Please help.

Reply to Hammer Time's Post: Yes and no, We have had to install 2 alternators. The first one the voltage was not putting out, and the second one we have not tested while the vehicle was running.

We have checked just about every wire that can be checked. We are at our wits end and just about to take it to a garage in order to put it on a machine to see just what the problem is. Are there any other suggestions?
